An 1880's black wool silk lined jacket/bodice made by Filene's in Boston. The condition is very good, apart from wear to the lining and velvet collar. The bodice fits a modern size 0 as shown. There are some sporadic moth holes in the wool.
The abalone shell buttons are replacements, as a few of the originals were missing.
