An 1880’s sage green silk smocked and pleated front dress bodice, in excellent condition. There are a few small flaws in the silk, particularly on the right shoulder. The bodice is flatlined with cream cotton. The construction looks to be mostly by machine, with hand finishing. The sleeves are 3/4 length, and shaped at the elbow.
It fits a modern size 0 as shown.
