1890's Ivory Linen Lace Trimmed Shirtwaist with Petal Decoration
A late 1890s fair condition ivory linen shirtwaist blouse with silk trimming suitable for study/reference. The material looks to be lightweight linen, the edging around the decorative petals is silk.
The blouse has a more fitted cotton lining, likely as a built in corset cover. It closes up centre back, with two sets of hooks and eyes. There are a number of holes and fray marks on the linen material.
The waistband has a belt attached to cinch the outer material.
The blouse is shown on and fits a size 2 mannequin.
