1970’s Chiffon and Lace Wedding Dress With Trained Skirt and Matching Veil
A 1970’s wedding dress with lace appliqué and chiffon ruffles. The veil and headband was made to match with pear beading. The fabric is a sheer chiffon, the lining is a cream coloured polyester. The skirt ruffles are hemmed with fishing line to create those undulating ruffles.
There is some wear and fraying to the lace appliqués on the sleeves. There are also a few missing pearls throughout but could be easily replaced with something comparable. The skirt train has a loop and hook to be bustled. There are no labels inside at all suggesting it was made custom or by a non-professional.
The dress is shown on a size 4 mannequin, and measures 34” bust, 29” waist, hips are, 73" length skirt in the back from the waist to hem, and 41" long in front from the waist down. The sleeves are 22/24" long as they end in points.
